Amory Innovative new programs funded by the Gilmore Foundation aim to help Amory School District's students stay in school and graduate. Last August, seniors in the Class of 2008 were given free laptop computers that are theirs to keep if they graduate. The foundation plans to provide laptop computers to the Class of 2009 as well. Another exciting program at Amory High School is the staffing of a full-time graduation coach who works individually with at-risk students and their families on strategies to help students achieve high school graduation. |
