Community Spotlight: Simpson County Schools

Simpson County Schools kicked off the 2008-2009 school year with exciting Destination: Graduation events at Magee and Mendenhall High Schools. All students were invited to participate, and the football stadium was filled with parents and community supporters.

Students ran onto the football field and were introduced by class – from Kindergarteners who make up the Class of 2021 to the Senior Class of 2009.

Participants wore Destination: Graduation t-shirts and were given treat bags by State Farm© Agent Chuck Cooper of Magee.

Each class was given an opportunity to decorate a school bus to express their goal of staying "On the Bus" to graduation..
